The Meaning Behind The Name
'' Tenvlo99 ''
Tenvlo means coconut, a symbol of survival and resilience. The number 99 represents the diverse native groups of the Nuba Mountains.
We chose the name Tenvlo99 Humanitarian Foundation to honour a painful but powerful chapter in our history. During the devastating war between 1990 and 2000, conflict and drought made farming impossible. With no access to food, Tenvlo (coconut) became our only means of survival.
This name is a tribute to the strength of our communities and a reminder of why we work to ensure no one ever has to face hunger and hardship alone again.

Tenvlo99 Humanitarian Foundation envisions a world where all individuals—particularly marginalized populations in Sudan and surrounding countries, such as South Sudan and Egypt—have access to essential resources and opportunities for sustainable development and empowerment.

Mission
To provide comprehensive support to marginalized populations, with a focus on children and women in war-affected areas such as South Kordofan, Blue Nile, Darfur, South Sudan Refugee Camp, and refugees in Egypt by addressing needs in health, nutrition, sanitation, human rights, and peace-building.

Tenvlo99 Humanitarian Foundation operates as a registered not-for-profit organization under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act. All activities and fundraising efforts are conducted in alignment with our mission to serve war-affected communities in Sudan and its neighboring countries.
Events
April 2024 marked one year since the conflict began in Sudan, a crisis that has left millions of families deeply affected. In response, our team organized a fundraising event in London, Ontario, to support those impacted by the war. The event drew attendees from across Ontario and even from the United States, coming together in solidarity for this cause.
Guests enjoyed a variety of Sudanese dishes and were treated to a vibrant cultural performance by the “Kush” dance group, who traveled from the USA to take part in the event. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised a significant amount to aid affected families.
